Columbus men plead guilty to poaching charges

ODNRCOLUMBUS – An Ohio Department of Natural Resources (ODNR) Division of Wildlife poaching investigation, conducted in collaboration with Columbus and Franklin County Metro Parks, resulted in a combined 40 guilty pleas from William I. Bethel, 28, of Columbus and Justin A. Booth, 23, of Columbus.
The two central Ohio men were known on YouTube as Creek Kings Outdoors.
In May 2026, they each pleaded guilty to 20 counts and were ordered to pay a combined $29,219.32 in restitution.
They were each placed on five years of reporting probation, during which time they are barred from Columbus and Franklin County Metro Parks properties.
Ohio wildlife officers have statewide authority to enforce wildlife regulations and protect state lands, waterways, and property.
