Seniors in New York’s 24th District will soon have a key opportunity to review their health coverage — and Congresswoman Claudia Tenney wants to make sure they don’t miss it. Tenney is reminding eligible residents that Medicare’s annual Open Enrollment Period begins October 15 and runs through December 7. During this window, beneficiaries can make changes to their Medicare plans for the upcoming year. People already enrolled in a Medicare Advantage plan will also have another chance to switch plans between January 1 and March 31 — but that window does not allow switching from Original Medicare to an Advantage plan. Tenney also encouraged those staying with their current plan to check for updates to costs and benefits in the new year.
