More than 300 federally funded energy projects — worth up to $7.5 billion — were abruptly canceled this week, all in Democrat-led states. The Department of Energy confirmed it is terminating 321 clean energy and grid infrastructure awards, many of which were already underway. The canceled projects span renewable energy, grid upgrades, carbon capture, manufacturing, and software innovation — and all were based in blue states.
