City of Calgary Newsroom
BCCs play an important role in shaping how The City serves Calgarians: they provide advice, guidance and recommendations to Council and, in some cases, provide oversight or decide appeals concerning City matters.
Serving as a Public Member on a BCC is a meaningful way to support and strengthen our community and help inform decisions that impact Calgarians.
Who can applyApplicants must be at least 18 years old and either a resident of Calgary or an Indigenous person residing within the Treaty 7 region.
Applications are reviewed based on the skills and qualifications of applicants.
More information about eligibility requirements, mandates and a complete list of Boards, Commissions and Committees is available at calgary.ca/boards.
