Doha News | Qatar
Qatar condemned Iran’s attacks on Jordan, calling them a violation of the kingdom’s sovereignty and urging an immediate de-escalation through dialogue and diplomacy.
Qatar has strongly condemned the Iranian attacks targeting Jordan, describing them as a “flagrant violation” of Jordan’s sovereignty and territorial integrity, as well as a “brazen breach” of international law and the United Nations Charter.
Qatar also reiterated its “full solidarity with the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan” and affirmed its support for all measures taken by Amman to protect its sovereignty and security.
The condemnation came after Jordan’s air defences intercepted missiles launched from Iran in an attack targeting areas hosting U.S forces in the kingdom.
Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) said its air force had targeted the Muwaffaq Salti Air Base and a US Central Command facility in Jordan.
