The award marks William Way’s first successful application to the Philadelphia Cultural Fund. “We’re thrilled to receive one of the Philadelphia Cultural Fund’s Art & Culture Grants,” said John Anderies, director of the John J. Wilcox, Jr. Archives & Library. Because the grant is unrestricted, Anderies said William Way has not determined how the funding will be used. “Our archives, library and art exhibitions are initiatives that no other organization provides specifically for the LGBTQ community in Philadelphia,” Anderies said. “Money like this from the Philadelphia Cultural Fund helps us significantly in meeting our mission to continue to serve the community.”
