St. George’s School will open a free public outdoor sculpture exhibition on its 125-acre Purgatory Road campus next week, featuring 11 contemporary works by prominent modern artists set against sweeping views of Second Beach and Sachuest Bay. The exhibition will be open 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on opening day, and 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. daily for the remainder of the run. The sculptures are designed to interact with natural light, wind, and open space throughout the campus. Founded in 1896, St. George’s is an independent boarding and day school serving 400 students in grades 9–12. Its campus, originally designed by the Olmsted Brothers landscape firm in 1901, features a blend of National Register-listed historic buildings and modern facilities.
