Afrobeat star, Davido, has released his sixth studio album titled ‘ORIADE’. The new album succeeds his previous studio projects, Omo Baba Olowo: The Genesis, A Good Time , A Better Time, Timeless and 5ive. According to the singer, the album title comes from the Yoruba words ‘Ori’, meaning head or destiny, and ‘Ade’, meaning crown. The album also features collaborations with Ghanaian rapper, Black Sherif, Nigerian artistes Mayorkun, Fola and Llona, American singer, Leon Thomas and French-Malian music star, Aya Nakamura. The album explores themes of identity, family, self belief and Nigerian excellence, underscoring Davido’s continued commitment to promoting African sounds on the global stage.
