Guyanese community mourns MV Barima tragedyThe Guyana Canada Association recently held a candlelight vigil at Thomson Memorial Park in Scarborough, honouring the lives of the victims lost in the MV Barima tragedy in Guyana; the ferry capsized on July 18th travelling from Georgetown to Port Kaituma. The community, family, friends, and loved ones gathered to show their respect. Music with the community in full voice, paid tribute and prayed reflected the loss and sadness of the Guyanese community.
