Canada Mourns Jazz Great Oliver JonesCanada has lost one of its most celebrated jazz musicians with the death of pianist and composer Oliver Jones, whose remarkable career extended across more than eight decades and brought international recognition to Montreal’s jazz community. Jones often credited teacher Daisy Peterson Sweeney, sister of jazz legend Oscar Peterson, for shaping his musical path.
