Rockport - Jane Dorothy Edwards was born in Brooklyn, NY to Arnold Frederick Edwards and Antoinette Buckout Edwards. She was the second daughter, joining her older sister, Francis (known as Chickie). As a young woman, Jane worked as a telephone operator, and she loved the energy of it — answering calls and connecting the wires quickly so that everyone could reach one another. She and Alexander had two children, Arnold Frederick Edwards II and Alexandria Edwards. Jane is survived by both her children, three dazzling grandchildren, Tatum, Micah, and Isaac--and her sister, Francis Edwards.
