In 2022 OCCRP published an investigation into the operations of citizenship planning company Henley and Partners, and profiled several of its clients. They included Emirati property magnate Hussain Ali Habib Sajwani, who had faced a criminal case in Egypt in 2011 related to a land deal. That case was closed following a settlement in 2013. The Egyptian court suspended the execution of the judgement, and Egyptian authorities requested that Interpol remove an arrest warrant it had filed for Sajwani.
