A Sudbury-area man is facing a host of charges for allegedly fleeing a traffic stop in Callander on July 23. In a release, the OPP said one of its North Bay officers conducted a traffic stop on Highway 11 in Callander at 5:15 p.m. after the officer’s Automated Licence Plate Recognition system identified a vehicle associated with an expired permit. Article content“During the investigation, the driver provided police with a false identity before fleeing the traffic stop,” police said in a release. “Through further investigation, officers identified the driver and obtained an arrest warrant.” On July 28, Nipissing West Detachment OPP officers located and arrested the suspect at a home in Warren.
