Free event gave kids a chance to participate in a variety of games and activitiesThe Claire Dimock Children’s Centre in Elliot Lake held its inaugural Summer Community Carnival on July 25. While the event was free to attend, organizers encouraged families to bring a non-perishable food items to donate to the Elliot Lake Emergency Food Bank. Despite the slight drizzle, children with painted faces ran from booth to booth with enthusiasm. The Toronto Dominion Bank hosted a large Jenga game, and the Trifecta Experience booth kept kids lined up to spin the prize wheel. The Elliot Lake Child and Family Centre had frisbees to play with, and The Kiwanis Club of Elliot Lake had a lucky duck challenge.
