Kelly Yusko, life enrichment co-ordinator for the Espanola Nursing Home, was delighted to report that their latest venture was a rousing success. A July 23 Facebook posting by the Espanola Regional Hospital and Health Centre shows the residents laughing and dancing along with hospital staff and family members as they celebrated Senior Prom. This year the special activity just happened to be called Senior Prom 2026. For an entire hour the nursing home residents got to enjoy the feeling of attending an actual senior prom, complete with a countdown to a balloon drop and noisemakers. She also mentioned that the Senior Prom helped capture a lot of memories for the residents and made new ones for those who had never before had the opportunity to attend a prom.
