A Florida professor was fired over a short story. Now she's suing South Florida State College President Fred Hawkins objected to a short story assignment. Now, she's suing the state college she worked at for violating the First Amendment. Prabhakar taught an introductory reading and writing course at South Florida State College in Avon Park until February, when college president Fred Hawkins weighed in. A request for comment is pending with a spokesperson for South Florida State College.
