Regarding a date for the farm bill markup, the spokesperson said, “We’re continuing to work through the process.” Boozman has said he hopes to mark up the bill before the Senate’s scheduled recess on Friday, Aug. 7. Politico reported early Thursday that sources said the markup would be Thursday, Aug. 6. The Office of Sen. Amy Klobuchar, D-Minn., the ranking member on the committee, did not respond to a request for comment.
