Investing.com -- Westinghouse Electric Company has confidentially submitted a draft registration statement on Form S-1 with the Securities and Exchange Commission for a proposed initial public offering of its common stock, the nuclear technology and services supplier said Friday.
Westinghouse provides nuclear products and services to utilities around the world, including nuclear fuel, service and maintenance, instrumentation, control and design of nuclear power plants.
Confidential filings allow companies to keep their financial information private until closer to the listing date and prepare for IPOs without public market scrutiny.
Westinghouse joins other nuclear companies entering public markets this year.
