The Brunswick complex is made up of two fires — Ainslie Creek, most recently mapped at 30,933 hectares, and Brunswick Creek, which covers an estimated 7,480 hectares. BCWS said the apparent growth does not pose an imminent threat to Merritt, Highway 5 or Highway 8. No large scale planned ignitions are scheduled for the Ainslie Creek wildfire at this time, BCWS said.
