Chicago Bears head coach Ben Johnson responded Friday to recent comments made by Jacksonville Jaguars head coach Liam Coen about the media's extensive coverage of Bears quarterback Caleb Williams. The Williams coverage is understandable given the success he enjoyed during his second NFL season in 2025. Williams had an up-and-down rookie campaign in 2024 after the Bears made him the No. 1 overall draft pick, but things seemed to click last season when Johnson arrived as head coach after a successful stint as the Detroit Lions' offensive coordinator. Williams also led the Bears to an 11-6 record, giving them their first NFC North title since 2018 and their first playoff appearance since 2020.
