MORE than 1500 children have already signed up for this year’s Worcestershire’s Summer Reading Challenge. Part of the National Year of Reading, the challenge is created by The Reading Agency and delivered by Worcestershire County Council’s Library Service. “The Summer Reading Challenge is a brilliant way to build confidence, encourage a lifelong love of books and help children stay engaged with learning throughout the school holidays.” How the Summer Reading Challenge Works:Children sign up at their local library to start their challenge. Children who complete the challenge (by reading six library books) receive a medal and certificate.
