The Kashmir Power Distribution Corporation Limited (KPDCL) has announced scheduled power shutdowns in parts of Srinagar, Ganderbal and Bandipora districts on August 1 and August 4 to facilitate maintenance of several 33 KV transmission lines. In Ganderbal district, the shutdown of the 33 KV Kangan–Kangan line and 33 KV Badampora–Wangipora Tapline will be carried out from 8 am to 2 pm on August 1. The outage will affect Mammer, Wangath, Kangan, Akhal, Baba Nagri, Canal, Batwina, Wangipora, Nowgam, Waskura, Kharbagh, Sumbal, Nesbal and nearby areas. Meanwhile, the 33 KV Badampora–Army Hakbara line will remain under shutdown from 8 am to 2 pm on August 1 and August 4, disrupting power supply to Hajin, Preng, Madwan, Banyari, Hakbara, Chandergeer and adjoining localities. KPDCL has advised consumers in the affected areas to plan accordingly, as electricity supply will remain suspended during the maintenance period.
