SRINAGAR: Two long-pending road projects in Uri and Sopore have been approved and put to tender following recommendations made by Baramulla Lok Sabha MP Engineer Rashid, the Awami Itihaad Party (AIP) said on Friday. AIP chief spokesperson Inam Un Nabi said the projects were included in an e-NIT issued by the Office of the Chief Engineer, PMGSY (JKRRDA), Kashmir, under E-NIT No. JK03-4544, covers the construction and maintenance of the road from L028 (Link Road) Bimyar to Mooriya via Pethgrann. JK03-4011, covers the construction and maintenance of the road from L075 (Link Road) Bomia-Harwan-Zaloora (3rd KM) to Yemberzaewari. Un Nabi welcomed the approval of the projects and said they would improve connectivity and ease difficulties faced by residents of the affected areas.
