The Myanmar military launched more than 140 airstrikes in Myaing Township, Magway Region, over six days from July 24 to 29, according to local monitoring group We Love Myaing. The heavy aerial bombardment peaked on July 27 with over 70 airstrikes, alongside dozens of other attacks using jet fighters and Y-12 transport aircraft operating throughout the week. At least one resident was injured during an airstrike on Nhansarkyin village on July 24. Community groups have urged residents within a five-mile radius of the military column to remain on high alert. The advancing military column entered Myaing Township from neighboring Pauk Township on July 13.
