More than €9 million has been spent buying four homes in Dublin to allow for Metrolink.
Transport Infrastructure Ireland has spent around €2 million on each of the houses at Dartmouth Square West near Ranelagh, which will back onto the planned Charlemont metro stop.
AdvertisementUp to 15 homes on the square will be bought by TII, with a final potential bill of €34 million, according to the Irish Times.
Overall costMeanwhile the reported €19 billion euro price tag to build the line has been disputed by the Transport Minister.
Four years ago the mega project was estimated to cost €9.5 billion euro but reports this week suggest it could be double that.
