BY BRADEN CARTWRIGHTDaily Post Staff WriterEast Palo Alto Councilwoman Martha Barragan announced today (July 30) that she won’t be seeking re-election because of health issues. Barragan, 48, has often been aligned with Mayor Webster Lincoln and Councilman Mark Dinan on issues such maintaining the city’s license plate-reading cameras, even after ICE allegedly accessed the company’s data. Barragan said she will continue to be involved in the community and thanked residents and her colleagues in her announcement. “Serving our community as a council member over the past four years has been one of the greatest honors of my life,” she said. Vice Mayor Ruben Abrica, 77, who served on the city’s inaugural council in 1983, told the Post that he is seeking another term.
