A late night fire Thursday prompted the evacuation of a food production facility in McPherson. Upon arrival, the first engine crew observed fire on the roof of the facility and requested a second alarm. The McPherson Police Department, McPherson County Sheriff’s Office, and McPherson EMS also responded. It then traveled through the oven’s roof exhaust system and ignited roofing materials adjacent to the exhaust. The final McPherson Fire Department unit cleared the scene at approximately 1 a.m.No injuries were reported.
