The Vicksburg Warren School District is installing temporary air conditioning units in classroom pods at the Academy of Innovation (AOI) after mechanical issues left those areas without cooling ahead of the start of the school year. In a message sent to AOI parents and guardians, the district said all common areas — including the café, hallways, gymnasium and offices — remain air-conditioned and are unaffected by the issue. The classroom pods are currently without air conditioning. According to the message, temporary units are being installed and will be operational by the first day of school on Friday. The units will remain in place until replacement compressors arrive and are installed.
