Vicksburg officials are preparing to begin the search for a new Parks and Recreation director following the recent departure of Rosevelt Brown. Ward 2 Alderwoman Vickie Bailey said during a recent interview with The Vicksburg Post that the city's Human Resources Department is finalizing a job announcement, though inquiries from prospective applicants have already begun. "Individuals have been calling already," Bailey said. "We told them to put in an application, and we will look at them." Until a new director is hired, Bailey said the department's day-to-day operations are being overseen through existing city leadership rather than an interim director.
