Turns out people stopped just checking emails and started streaming and gaming, hanging around longer and spending more money. Zambia’s internet penetration reached 54% in 2023 based on ZICTA data, and mobile data costs dropped around K15 per gigabyte since 2022. What Changed My Mind About Digital EntertainmentI used to dismiss online gaming as a time-waster. What strikes me is how gaming platforms are forcing infrastructure improvements to happen faster.
