Write, Edit, Enter! The NZ Society of Authors Northland Branch is running its annual short story competition. NZSA Northland Branch Chair, Sherryl Clark, encourages writers to put pen to paper and enter soon, as the deadlines are looming. Secondary School-aged writers have an upper limit of 500 words, while year 7 and 8 authors have 50 to 300 words.’ Ms Clark encourages young writers to share their stories with teachers, friends and family to get feedback on plot, characters, spelling and punctuation, before submitting.
