Berrien County Health Department provides update on local cyclosporiasis cases
[]
What’s Happening – Moody on the Market
Berrien County has now recorded 22 cases of cyclosporiasis since an outbreak of the stomach bug began in Michigan.
Berrien County Health Department epidemiologist Sara Palmer tells us she’s aware of no hospitalizations in the county, and the department has been working with patients who have tested positive.
The messaging from the federal government on the Taylor Farms lettuce hasn’t been clear.
Taylor Farms has recalled the affected lettuce, and Palmer says it should be out of circulation at this point.
Palmer advises anyone who becomes ill to seek medical attention, noting the patients contacted by the Berrien County Health Department have been very helpful.
