EAST DOVER—When East Dover filmmaker Sean Kirby first read about Vermont farmer Romaine Tenney, he could not stop thinking about him.
After spending much of his career working as a cinematographer on independent films and documentaries, Kirby is now writing and directing his first feature film, “I Am My Domain.”
The story of Romaine Tenney dates back more than 60 years, when the construction of Interstate 91 forced some families off their land.
While most accepted compensation and moved on, Tenney refused to leave the farm where he had spent his entire life.
