‘We really encourage analogue work,’ says Vithana. The main final-year project was to design a contemporary faculty building, on one of three car-park sites in Bournemouth City Centre. Compared with the 118 students on the BA course, the MA is much smaller, with just 10 students across the two years. The thesis design project and portfolio developed in Year 2 has a strong emphasis not only on the design but on it ecological and legislative contexts.
