Monday tornado that hit Lewis University among 3 new twisters confirmed by NWS

Officials with the National Weather Service have confirmed three more tornadoes from Monday’s severe weather outbreak, including one that hit Lewis University.
According to NWS damage assessment teams, the EF-0 tornado touched down in the Romeoville area on Monday afternoon, packing estimated peak winds of 80 miles per hour.
An EF-0 tornado also touched down near Downers Grove, remaining on the ground for two miles.
Two of those tornadoes were classified as EF-1 twisters, with peak wind speeds of 110 miles per hour, officials said.
The Lansing tornado hit wind speeds of 110 miles per hour and it was on the ground for nearly four miles.
