TIM Sherwood believes the key figures in place at Coventry City have transformed the club’s fortunes on and off the pitch since his time at the Sky Blues. The former Tottenham Hotspur and Aston Villa boss turned Sky Sports pundit finished his playing career with the Sky Blues, making 11 appearances for the club in the 2004/05 season. Coventry finished 19th in the Championship in Sherwood’s only season at the club. “Doug King, who’s gone in there now, has put Dean Austin in charge who’s an ex-Tottenham player and knows football recruitment like the back of his hand. “They’ve pulled together a brilliant team that works together not just on the pitch but off it too.”
