CREATIVE kids at primary and secondary schools in Coventry have joined forces with an award-winning sculptor to build confidence through self-expression in preparation for the move to secondary school. Pupils from St Peter and Paul Catholic Primary School and Cardinal Wiseman Catholic School took part in a five-week sculpture workshop led by acclaimed artist Faith Bebbington. As well as developing artistic skills, the workshops helped pupils build confidence, strengthen communication and teamwork, and form new friendships across the two schools. Cardinal Wiseman students also took on mentoring roles throughout the project, helping to guide and encourage the younger pupils while developing their own leadership skills. “The project has helped build confidence, encouraged collaboration and shown how creative activities can support children’s personal development.
