The first domino has fallen as we approach the 2026 MLB trade deadline. The Minnesota Twins have acquired 32-year-old left-hander reliever AJ Minter from the New York Mets, per ESPN’s Jeff Passan. Minter is currently in his 10th big league season. Minter has appeared in 23 games so far this season, tossing 23 innings with 20 strikeouts and currently holding a 2.35 earned runs average. Minter will be a free agent after the 2026 season concludes.
