MÉRIDA, YUCATÁN — The world-famous Harlem Globetrotters are returning to Yucatán after a ten-year absence, bringing their 100th-anniversary global tour to Mérida’s Polifórum Zamná on Wednesday, October 14, 2026. Organizers officially announced details of the event during a press conference in Mérida, promising an energetic performance that blends elite athleticism, theatrical comedy, trick shots, and audience participation. “It’s a 100% family-friendly show where sport meets comedy, music, acrobatic dunks, and interactive fun,” event promoters noted during the presentation. The stop in Mérida forms part of the Globetrotters’ landmark centennial tour, celebrating a century of international exhibition games, cultural ambassadorship, and sports entertainment. In 2002, the entire team was inducted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame.
