Southport killer Axel Rudakubana has been charged with three attacks while in prison and possessing a weapon.
Police say the offences took place at HMP Belmarsh over six months from May to October 2025.
Earlier this month he was moved to a secure psychiatric hospital.
On 23 July, the MoJ confirmed Rudakubana was transferred from HMP Belmarsh to Broadmoor, a high-security psychiatric hospital in Berkshire.
Under the Mental Health Act, the MoJ is likely to have had no choice but to accept doctors' recommendations about whether Rudakubana could be held safely in prison.
