Former University of Missouri football coach Gary Pinkel will have his driver’s license suspended starting Aug. 1st after a Camden County judge dismissed his challenge to the suspension related to his 2025 driving while intoxicated arrest. The court found Pinkel was lawfully arrested, the officer had reasonable grounds to suspect intoxicated driving, and Pinkel refused a chemical breath test. The ruling dissolved the temporary order blocking the suspension, following Pinkel’s guilty plea to a misdemeanor DWI charge from the same arrest. Pinkel, the winningest football coach in Missouri history, was arrested in July 2025 by the Missouri State Highway Patrol on suspicion of driving while intoxicated.
