FRANK BARROW (January 11, 1943 – July 22, 2026)FRANK BARROW, who has died aged 83, was a fearless fullback who helped St Helens win two league titles and a Challenge Cup. The first came in the Lancashire Cup in 1964-65, when Swinton were seen off 12-4 at Central Park, Wigan. Saints defeated Warrington 13-10 in a Lancashire Cup final replay at Station Road in 1967-68 after the first match at Central Park was drawn 2-2. And he also figured in two BBC2 Floodlit Trophy finals (won by Castleford in 1965-66 and Leeds in 1970-71 and another Lancashire Cup final, Leigh coming out on top in 1970-71. He was reputed to be the favourite player of current St Helens Chairman Eamonn McManus.
