In addition to spending the morning fishing with local OPP officers, young anglers will have the chance to win prizes and giveaways, including awards for the largest fish caught in several age categories. The annual event is sponsored by Fishing Forever, a not-for-profit organization that supports fishing, conservation and education initiatives. According to Bob Izumi, chairman of Fishing Forever, introducing children to fishing creates lasting memories while strengthening family connections.
