«The little girl» by Valeria Parrella (Feltrinelli) won the Fiction section of the Mandrarossa prize.
But among the winners of the other sections there is a young author from Messina: Mattia Corrente, of Librizzi, with «Il restauratore di mondo» (Salani) won for the Fable/Fantasy section.
The evening was hosted by the journalist Melania Petriello, who led a talk with the participation of the Narrative finalists: Monica Acito, Dario Ferreri and Valeria Parrella.
Concita De Gregorio, president of the prize, spoke of «a magical book… The little girl is a novel of history and the future.
We need novels like Parrella’s, in times that are once again difficult for the country.”
