Big box retailer Target is ramping up its e-commerce business ahead of the holiday rush, with plans to expand next-day deliveries to include 35 major U.S. metropolitan areas by the end of October.
Most items available on Target’s website will qualify for next-day delivery, covering roughly 85% of the retailer’s in-store assortment.
Orders over $35 with eligible products will ship the next day for free, while Target Circle 360 members or shoppers using a Target Circle Card can access the service with no minimum purchase.
Cities slated for the next-day delivery expansion include San Diego, California; Orlando and Tampa, Florida; Kansas City and St. Louis Missouri; Charlotte and Durham, North Carolina; Cleveland, Ohio; and Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
The company also offers free order pickup and drive-up options nationwide, which Target says will continue to serve as key pieces of its strategy to make shopping “as fast and seamless as possible.”
