Fayetteville State University claimed two awards at the 3rd Annual HBCU Sports Awards on Saturday, July 25. Junior golfer Landon Cabingas won HBCU Men's Golfer of the Year, according to FSUBroncos.com. Director of athletics Anthony T. Bennett earned HBCU Athletic Director of the Year. Before arriving at Fayetteville State, he'd already grabbed two national championships at Sandhills Community College and collected two All-America selections. Bennett had previously earned CIAA Athletic Director of the Year honors in 2022, 2023, and 2026.
