Free back-to-school vaccination clinics remain available at 69 locations across New Mexico through Aug. 29. “Great job to all the kids and their parents for getting vaccinated,” said Andrea Romero, section manager for the NMDOH immunization program. “Staying up to date helps everyone around you stay healthy and free from many serious, preventable diseases when returning to the classroom.” The clinics are offered through NMDOH, the New Mexico Primary Care Association and the New Mexico Immunization Coalition. Appointments also may be available through primary care providers, pharmacies and local public health offices.
