Engineering consultancy firm Enertis Applus+ has been selected to provide engineering design and procurement support at the 500MW/2,000MWh Wallace BESS project in Scotland. The IPP acquired the Wallace BESS project last month from UK developer New Energy Partnership (NEP), among other sellers. Enertis Applus+ provided support to both the developer and the IPP. The Wallace BESS project has already secured planning consent, land option and allocated Gate 2 status under the UK grid connection reform process. Moreover, the services provided for the Wallace project bring the engineering consultancy firm’s support above 17GWh for BESS in the UK.
