The session will bring together government leaders, energy regulators, regional economic communities, utilities, development finance institutions and private sector investors to explore how greater policy alignment can unlock investment, accelerate project delivery and strengthen regional energy integration. “Africa has no shortage of energy opportunities or investment interest,” says Liz Hart, Managing Director of Africa Energy Indaba. Another key focus will be improving the investment environment for Independent Power Producers (IPPs), transmission developers and energy infrastructure investors. The Africa Energy Indaba has long served as Africa’s leading platform for energy dialogue, bringing together ministers, utilities, regulators, investors, technology providers and project developers from across the continent. The 2027 programme will continue this tradition by addressing the strategic issues shaping Africa’s energy future, with a strong emphasis on investment, regional cooperation, energy security and market development.
