(Photo by Matthew Keys for The Desk)Hubbard Broadcasting’s cable network Reelz is expanding its offering of true crime shows by inking a distribution deal with Law&Crime to offer three of its YouTube shows, the companies announced this week.
The deal comes just a few months after Law&Crime acquired Court TV from the E. W. Scripps Company, making its deal with Hubbard and Reelz a bit unusual, since the brand already has a traditional TV network that can distribute its YouTube shows.
Nonetheless, Law&Crime promoted the agreement as a milestone moment, with Reelz serving as its first-ever cable TV partner.
The deal also gives Reelz additional crime and law enforcement programming for a primetime schedule already known for police-focused and investigative series.
Other true crime shows offered by Reelz include”CopyCat Killers,” “Murder Made Me Famous,” “Murder in the Family,” “The Price of Fame” and “Executed.”
